Even after a price cut, MacBooks are still pretty pricey, but every little bit helps. Even though these high-end devices cost more, we often put them at the top of our list of the best laptops on the market right now. Apple’s laptops are made to last, so in the long run they may be a better value than other devices that you may need to replace every couple of years.

At least there are more deals on MacBooks than ever before, and there’s usually at least one model that’s on sale at any given time. President’s Day sales are going on right now, and people in the US can get some great deals on MacBooks.

Just don’t expect to see any deals on the brand-new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros that came out in January. MACBOOK AIR DEALS

Since the new MacBook Air (M2, 2022) just came out, it’s an interesting time to look for deals on the MacBook Air. Apple’s new laptop with the M2 chip hasn’t been marked down yet, but we’re keeping an eye out for discounts on the old MacBook Air (M1, 2020).

Even though the newer model has a new look and better performance, the older model is still a powerful laptop and a better deal for most people, especially if it goes on sale in the coming months. 1. Apple’s MacBook Air (M2, 2022)

Since the new MacBook Air has only been out for a short time, it’s not too surprising that it hasn’t gotten a discount yet. You’ll probably have to wait until Black Friday or later for a price cut, and even then, it might only be $50/£50.

If you still want to buy one today, the best prices are listed above. Based on our review and the current price of the M1 version, you may find a better deal on that older version. You won’t have to give up too much on performance, either, since it can still do difficult work.

But if you’re trying to decide between the Air and the Pro, this MacBook Air M2 might be a better buy because it gives you better value for your money at the same level of performance.

2. MacBook Air (M1, 2020)

The MacBook Air M1 is your best bet if you want a performance boost and still need a lightweight computer. Even though this model has a big performance boost, it doesn’t cost as much as you might think. In fact, we’ve seen some great MacBook deals in the past few months, which shows that Apple isn’t afraid to offer discounts on this model from time to time.

Now that the new MacBook Air with the latest M2 chip is also out, we’re looking for bigger sales on this model in the coming months. If you see it for $799 or less, you should know that’s the lowest price ever for the laptop and you should buy it. In fact, it’s a better choice for most people if they can save $100/£100 or more.

MACBOOK PRO DEALS

The MacBook Pro 14-inch (2023) and the MacBook Pro 16-inch are two brand-new models that just came out (2023). Since they came out in January, we’re still very early in their life cycle, so it’s very unlikely that there will be any deals at this point. Still, the most recent prices are listed below.

If you’re more interested in the latest MacBook Pro 14-inch (2021) and MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021), you can get discounts on these. They seem to change all the time, but the smaller laptop saves you the most money, up to $200 or £150.

Since the new MacBook Pro 13-inch (2022) came out last year, it hasn’t had much of an effect on any other models. However, there have been more deals on the 14-inch and 16-inch versions in the past few months.

Still, we don’t think it’s worth spending money on the new 13-inch version. It may have a big performance boost and a long battery life, but most people probably don’t need it and it doesn’t have a new look. In fact, if you’re looking for deals on MacBook Pros, most people will find that the MacBook Air M2 (2022) is a better deal for the same level of performance.

3. MacBook Pro 14-inch (2023)

Apple surprised everyone in January by announcing two new laptops, one of which was the MacBook Pro 14-inch (2023). The latest M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which give the device its power, are the standout feature. They offer very high levels of performance.

Since this MacBook is so new, it’s highly unlikely that there will be any deals so soon. There is a small chance that Amazon or Walmart will offer a very small discount. This has happened in the past with other models. But the chances are very low, so if you want one of Apple’s new high-end laptops, you should expect to pay full price for the next few months.

We haven’t tried this laptop yet, but as soon as we do, we’ll let you know if it’s worth the high launch price or if you should wait for a deal.

4. MacBook Pro 16-inch (2023)

Apple showed off two new laptops in January. The MacBook Pro 16-inch (2023) is the second one. As with the smaller version, the most interesting thing about this laptop is that it has the latest M2 Pro and M2 Max chips that give it amazing performance for even the most demanding creative and productivity tasks.

Since this MacBook just came out, it makes sense that there aren’t any deals yet. Some stores may offer discounts in the coming weeks, but if they do, they are likely to be very small, like $100 or £100 at most. Keep an eye on places like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. Based on past sales, these are the places that are most likely to offer a discount.

Even at full price, though, it could still be worth it if you need a powerful workstation with one of the best laptop screens. In our review of the MacBook Pro 16-inch (2023), these are the things we liked best. It’s also a big step up from an Intel-based MacBook, so people who want to upgrade from one of those older devices should consider buying it.

5. MacBook Pro 13-inch (2022)

The new MacBook Pro 13-inch (2022) from Apple is now available to buy. It has a powerful new M2 chip. Prices start at $1,299/£1,349 for the standard model with a 256GB SSD, so it’s clear that this is the most expensive ultrabook made by the company, and there are no discounts right now.

Considering this, we’d say that the new MacBook Air with the M2 chip is a better value for the money. The new device’s improved performance is nice, but for most people, it has more power than they need.

On the other hand, the new MacBook Air isn’t too far behind in terms of performance. It can handle both everyday tasks and more difficult ones with ease. What’s the best? It has a new look, lasts longer on a charge, and costs $100 or £100 less to start.

How to find the best MacBook deals

Deals on MacBooks are hard to find because these computers last a long time. This means that Apple rarely gives discounts on its older laptop lines when it releases a new generation. If you’re willing to wait a few years, it’s harder to find a price that stands out.

But that doesn’t mean you have to stick with the prices at the start. In fact, sales of MacBooks are pretty common at certain times of the year, and they usually happen when new models come out. Even though you might not find big discounts on cheaper entry-level models, there are often big price drops on higher-end models around the holidays and when Apple releases new products.
