MWC 2023 just ended in Barcelona, where thousands of tech companies got together for four days to show off the latest innovations in portable devices. TECNO, a tech company that wants to combine “tech value” with “aesthetic value,” is one of the people participating. The success of TECNO’s CAMON camera phone line in 2014 led the company to add intelligent audio devices, smart home devices, and smart wearable devices to its AIoT line. But by 2022, TECNO was ready to enter the laptop market, so they came out with the MEGABOOK T1.
The MEGABOOK T1 was the first in a series of laptops that TECNO planned to make, but the next step was to show off the latest flagship device at MWC 2023. The MEGABOOK S1 2023 will have an Intel Core i7-1360P processor and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This is a big step from the T1 that came out before it.
This news is a big step forward for the MEGABOOK series. The previously released T1 had 12th Gen Intel CPUs and was available in Central and Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Asia.
Wang Rui, Senior VP/Chair of INTEL China, visited TECNO at MWC 2023 and met with Ha Le, Vice President of Transsion Holdings. This was an essential step in the relationship between TECNO and Intel. Both groups were happy to keep working together to make products people love worldwide. Wang Rui and Ha Le were both excited about the partnership’s future. They agreed to look at product performance, user experiences, and solutions together in the future to make things better for customers and meet their needs. Both of them are sure that this partnership will continue to lead to exciting new things in the tech industry.
Creatively productive
With an Intel Core i7-1360P processor and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, the MEGABOOK S1 2023 is a productivity powerhouse that fits into a magnesium alloy body only 13.5mm thick and weighs only 1.35kg. The laptop doesn’t sacrifice function for looks, though. It has an HDMI 2.0 port, USB 3.0 ports, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and a USB 4.0 port that can send data at up to 40gbps. Digital artists and other creators who use graphic pen displays and want to keep their cables organized will be happy to learn that a fully functional USB-C port is also included.
The MEGABOOK S1 has 1TB of SSD storage that you can use to save your files at the end of the day. But just because you finish your work doesn’t mean the MEGABOOK is done with its job. The laptop looks thin but has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2.3k resolution on a 16:10 borderless screen. This gives it a 90% screen-to-body ratio. You can watch videos on this screen in portrait or landscape mode, so the MEGABOOK S1 2023 can be used for both work and play.
Made for multitasking
If you’re a multitasker who uses multiple screens and are already a part of the TECNO ecosystem, the MEGABOOK S1’s OneLeap feature will be beneficial. OneLeap uses over-the-air connectivity to let users cast up to three screens simultaneously to their laptops to do more than one thing simultaneously. The devices can share clipboards, file management systems, and even reverse network sharing. They can also sync and share data. OneLeap lets the devices connect just by being close to each other, and the SwiftTransfer feature enables the user to move files quickly and easily with gestures.
Powerful and portable
There is often some give and take when it comes to devices that are made to be both fast and valuable. Laptops used professionally for creative work need the latest technology, but processors from the last few years can make a lot of heat. TECNO makes up for this in the MEGABOOK S1 by adding their ICE STORM cooling system, which has two fans. This lets the laptop get the most out of what the 13th-generation Intel processor can do while keeping a slim and attractive look.
