Is the MSI Bravo15 a good laptop? Undoubtedly, yes, it is a very good laptop as there are some very good features that you get on this laptop, such as i/o and battery life. Furthermore, the MSI Bravo 15 (MSRP $929; MSRP $999 as tested) is a high-end gaming laptop that succeeds the Alpha 15 and is powered entirely by AMD hardware. Its predecessor lacked CPU power, but the new “Renoir” Ryzen 4000 series chip makes up for it in spades, being noticeably quicker than Intel silicon found in laptops in the same price range.

While not quite as powerful as notebooks with Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1660 Ti in terms of overall gaming performance, the Bravo 15’s powerful CPU, ample memory, good-sized dollop of storage, and high-refresh AMD FreeSync display make it a great value at or just below the four-figure mark, where you’d be hard-pressed to find a GTX 1660 Ti-based notebook equipped similarly.

What Makes MSI Laptop unique

While previous generations of the MSI Bravo 15 were available in a variety of configurations and pricing points, the latest iteration only comes in a single flavor. For $899, you can get it from Sam’s Club(opens in new tab), Walmart’s version of Costco. A Sam’s Club membership is required for this, and it costs $45 yearly.

The current MSI Bravo features an AMD Ryzen 5600H processor, an AMD Radeon 5500M graphics processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB solid-state drive, and a 15.6-inch 1080p screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate. To be fair, these aren’t exactly cutting-edge specs.

MSI laptop Design

Despite its low price, the MSI Bravo 15 looks and performs like a high-end gaming laptop. Compared to the tiny and light Razer Blade models or MSI’s own stealthy Stealth line of laptops, the Bravo 15 is a big, hefty beast with plenty of weird angles and extraneous embellishments.

It’s nearly twice as thick as some of its more premium 15-inch gaming laptop rivals, measuring in at 14.1 x 10.2 x 1.0 inches. It’s also significantly heavier, coming in at 5.1 pounds. The gadget can be simply transported by placing it in a common rucksack.

Unusual design elements may be found on the otherwise unadorned black chassis, such as the wide opening found at the hinge and the raised geometric pattern found on the top. And just for good measure, there’s a non-illuminated phoenix emblem.

Battery Life

The MSI Bravo 15 has respectable battery life for a gaming laptop, especially considering its small (in comparison to other gaming laptops) 51Wh battery. We were able to use the device for 9 hours, 10 minutes of web surfing and 8 hours, 25 minutes of video playback until the battery died in our tests.

All programs were closed except the one being tested with, the screen brightness was adjusted at 120 nits, and Windows’ Better Performance setting was on.

The i/o and the features

While a MicroSD card reader would have been nice, the other ports and connectors provided more than make up for it. These include two USB 3.2 Type-A ports (Gen. 1), two USB 3.2 Type-C ports (Gen. 1), an HDMI connector, the standard 3.5 mm audio socket, and an RJ-45 jack. Support for Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6, which will likely become the industry standard by 2021, is included as well.

The input Devices

A nice typing and gaming experience can be had with this laptop thanks to the keyboard. The lack of a Numpad is offset by the excellent typing experience provided by the keyboard’s clicky feedback and generously sized keycaps.

However, the limited distance that the keys can move is a major drawback when playing games. In contrast, the Touchpad includes a large non-active area where your clicks and swipes won’t be registered. This has happened on other MSI laptops, so it’s something the company has to investigate.

The cooling

The processor and graphics card operate at reasonable temperatures, but the device’s case heats up to the point where it causes “sausage fingers.” In our stress test, we subject the CPU to periods of intense load simulation, both briefly and for extended periods.

After 15 minutes of continuous intense processing, the Ryzen 5 4500H’s clock speed was still above 3.00 GHz and close to 3.50 GHz. Temperatures, however, ran far higher than on rival devices with the same CPU.

Conclusion

if you want a high end gaming laptop then you should go with MSI Bravo laptop, but there are some drawbacks of this laptop such as  CPU performance is low as well as it is a bit low then notebooks which makes it inferior, however if we talk about its battery life, features and i/o, then this deal is  fabulous as we get 51watt  battery is substantial for simple work and not only this games can equally enjoy it.
